Thousand Hands Project (Community Service Event), May 2002   :  Volunteers from NetIP Cincinnati helped in building a childrens playground.

Vaisakhi Bhangra Party, May 2002   :   The "Vaisakhi" festival was celebrated by NetIP Cincinnati with a grand Bhangra Party on May 11th, 2002. The party was held at Brookstone Clubhouse in Oakley.

History Lecture, April 2002   :   The first lecture delivered by Professor Barbara Ramusack, Chairwoman of the History Department at the University of Cincinnati, discussing India Pre-British Colonization.

2001
Diwali Formal, November 2001   :   The Diwali formal was celebrated on November 10, 2001, to celebrate the Festival of Lights. The party was held at the Devou Park, in Covington, and was very popular, with around 75-80 people attending. Apart from food and drinks, the other entertainment included a dance performance by Leenata, who performed Indian traditional dance of Bharatnatyam and another performance by the Divas on the tunes of the song "Rangeela Maro Dholna". They started off the dancing and soon all members were dancing the night away to the music of the DJ.

Thousand Hands Project (Community Service Event), May 2001   :  Volunteers from NetIP Cincinnati helped in building a childrens playground.

Festivals Of India Party (Part 1), April 2001   :  Learn about the different festivals of India and party the night away.

Wine Tasting, April 2001   :   Learn about different wines in a fun and informal environment.

Holi Paintball Outing, April 2001   :   Celebrate the "Festival of colors", as we take a trip to one of the local paintball parks. This is an event that has been described by NetIP North America as "UNIQUE"- one you don't want to miss.

2000
Diwali Formal, November 2000   :   The Diwali formal was celebrated on November 10, 2000, to celebrate the Festival of Lights. The party was held at the Beckett Ridge Country Club, in West Chester, and was very popular, with around 70 people attending. Apart from food and drinks, the other entertainment included a performance by local band Masala (a member of which is also a member of NetIP Cincinnati), and a dance performance by the Dhol Baje Divas. This group comprised of 8 girls, all members of NetIP Cincinnati, and they gave perhaps the best dance performance yet witnessed at the NetIP parties. They started off the dancing and soon all members were dancing the night away to the music of the DJ.

North & East Party, October 2000   :   This was the third part of our series "Let's Party Around India", our cultural & educational party series to educate the members about the different cultures of India. India is a very diverse country, and we don't often get a chance to learn about the different cultures, religions, etc. In this part, we celebrated the states of North & East India - Madhya Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmr, Punjab, Haryana, Bihar, West Bengal, Orissa, and the states of North-East India. We had foods from these states, including the famous Bengali sweets, a trivia contest based on these states which involved all the members, and a dance performed by our own members. The members were decked up in finery, and traditional dresses from these states.

Canoe trip, July 2000   :   25 members of NetIP Cincinnati canoed down the Little Miami River - a 6 mile trip, taking 2-3 hours. This was followed by a picnic. Plenty of fun and action, with canoes tipping over, and people getting dunked in the river!!

International Party, May 2000   :   The International Party was co-organized along with the Inter-Ethnic Council of Greater Cincinnati, and featured a local, international band, Masala, with proceeds going towards charity.

Wine Tasting, April 2000   :   Held at the Mushroom Wine Shop, Cincinnati, OH. Members learned the finer techniques involved in the art of wine-tasting.

Diwali at Miami University, November 1999   :   NetIP members performed their Bhangra dance at the Diwali celebrations held at Miami University, Oxford, OH.

Diwali Formal, November 1999   :   Attended by around 70 people. NetIP members performed a group Bhangra dance. Featured other regional entertainment (music and dances), and food.
